Materials & Construction

Every Tiny Home is built on a steel chassis with solid cast-iron wheels, 100mm Knauf insulation, breathable membranes, and custom joinery throughout.

From black powder-coated cladding to birch ply cabinetry and ash worktops sourced from Dartmoor, we prioritise quality and longevity in every detail.

10-Year Labour Warranty

Every Tiny Home comes with:

  • 10-year labour warranty covering structure, roof, cladding, electrics, and plumbing

  • Certified electrics safety certificate

  • Manufacturer warranties on boiler, stove, shower, and fittings

  • Clear guidance on what’s covered vs. wear-and-tear or misuse

We also offer site assessments, site preparation, and guidance on Airbnb/rental potential to help you make the most of your investment.

  • Absolutely.
Our huts are built to handle all seasons. Each unit is fully insulated using 100mm Knauf insulation in the floors, walls and roof. The entire structure is wrapped in a breathable membrane to regulate temperature and prevent damp.

For winter warmth, we include a log-burning stove and a heated towel rail as standard in most models. In warmer months, the timber structure naturally keeps the interior cool — so you can enjoy your hut comfortably all year round.

  • Yes, with a few important notes.
Your hut can be moved, but not in the way a caravan might be. The solid cast-iron wheels and 180° turntable allow for repositioning on hard, flat surfaces like concrete, gravel or compacted ground — ideal for farms, glamping sites or large gardens.

For relocation, the hut is transported using a flatbed truck with a crane. If needed, we can fit transportation wheels that allow the hut to be towed short distances at low speed (10mph max).

We’re happy to advise on site access and logistics during your consultation.

  • Yes – fully installed and ready to connect.

    All huts are fitted with:

    • A certified 240V electric system, ready to plug in using a 3-pin mains hook-up (just like a camper van)

    • Internal lighting, sockets and optional USB ports

    • A boiler and water system ready to connect to your mains supply

    • All waste and grey water outlets ready for connection to soil or drainage

Everything is installed by qualified professionals and tested before delivery.

  • In most cases, no—but it depends on how and where you use it.
Because shepherd’s huts are portable structures on wheels, they typically don’t require planning permission.

    However, if you’re planning to:

    • Change the use of the land (e.g., create a commercial glamping site)

    • Install the hut as a permanent dwelling

    • Add plumbing for full-time use

…you may need permission from your local planning authority.

We recommend checking with your council, and we’re happy to offer informal guidance or connect you with planning consultants if needed.

  • Definitely – that’s what makes us different.
We don’t mass-produce huts. Every Tiny Home is built to order, which means:

    • You choose the layout, orientation, and use of space

    • You can select finishes like paint colours, worktops, flooring, stove models, and more

    • Want a hidden bed? Extra storage? Integrated seating or workspace? Just ask.

We’ll work closely with you to understand your vision, offer suggestions, and make sure the final design fits your lifestyle and setting perfectly.
